Family:
Rev. Jerry Van Kuiken, and his wife Margaret were married June 21, 1969, and have two children; son Jerome, a professor at Vennard College in Iowa, and daughter Jeannie, who teaches in the Holland, Michigan area. They have two grandchildren, Hannah and William, who are the children of Jerome, and his wife Lisa.
Their Service:
The Van Kuikens spent fifteen years as Free Methodist missionaries to the Philippine Islands (1973-1988), where they taught for ten years at Light and Life Bible College. They also helped to establish the Light and Life Graduate School of Theology and taught courses at that school, as well as planted a church in Davao City. Later they started a church plant in Manila prior to returning from the Philippines in 1988. They have been in the pastorate since that time, including churches in Kentucky, Tennessee, Illinois in addition to Michigan, and have been at Zeeland Free Methodist Church in Zeeland, Michigan since July 17, 1994.
Margaret, the daughter of a pastor, is a receptionist at Royal Park Place in Zeeland. She is on the Missions Committee, Director of Children's Ministries, and resource person for our Christian Life Club (CLC).
Over the past few years, Pastor Jerry has taught classes on "Survey of the Old Testament", "Introduction to Christian Doctrine", and "Isaiah", under the Credentialing Department of the Free Methodist World Headquarters.
